Co-location
The CAR-IX platform equipment is located in the Datacenter E-Commerce Park (ECP) in Willemstad on the island territory of Curacao, Netherlands Antilles. It is a professional neutral Tier III Datacenter and is located in the government appointed E-Zone: Vredenberg. This means ECP customers only have to pay 2 % annual profit taxes, no import duties and no sales tax.
ECP offers co-location to all CAR-IX members and also allows for remote connections connections. CAR-IX members need to make their own arrangements with ECP for either co-location or the internal patching (in ECP) of remote connections to the CAR-IX equipment
